oh ok cool. I havent had any jams yet and was a little skeptical on the mag when I first got it.

That was a Tapco mag. I needed to clean up some of the edges of the feedlips. It feeds alot better now.

hey what kind of mag did you have in the modded sks? I have that exact same set up but have the tapco 20rd mag. Was it the mag causing your jams?
evilernie1969 (August 28, 2008 at 9:47 pm)
Wolf Military Classic for the SKS's. But that wasn't the problem. A misaligned firing pin retainer was jamming the original SKS and the modded SKS had mag/reciever cover issues. Ammo was not a factor.
xboxpwner22 (August 28, 2008 at 1:00 am)
what ammo is it?

Looks like you guys had fun out there! Stay safe and keep shooting, when I take friends out to shoot I normally bring the cheap reloads just for fun. Damn things are always jammin up my hardware as well :)

lol 90% of the people who purchase weaver mount said the sight falls off shots after shots, and im one of those unlucky people; my mount broke. (check out my vid) =[ now back to iron sight.

you definitely made a good choice; M-44's are excellent guns, as long as you are willing to thoroughly and regularly clean it. I own a 91/30 myself, and have put on a synthetic stock with rail, weaver rings and a 10-30x 45mm scope. all excellent mods that allow you to use the rather surprising accuracy to it's max. I was considering a muzzle brake but I heard that it decreased accuracy and had some fitting and installation problems. secondhand advice, I'll admit; it might be a great idea. |
