and yeah, he is totaly revolutionary. He wrote the rock and roll bible in 29 short chapters, and he is still the inspiration source for many musicians (and it is not an easy thing to do). So, even if you dont like him, you must respect him. sorry for the bad english.

bartnauta (1 week ago) I'm not a guitar expert. So: How revolutionary and good were his guitar playing skills back then in the 30'? His playings and guitar skills were really good even for nowadays. You can not easily find somebody playing like this today (but for sure you will find a lot of long-haired shredding guys playing like fool puppets).

Actully the guitarest was Tommy Johnson and he also had the rumor of selling his soul to the Devil so he was mistaken for RJ and yea it's a good movie and he does introduce himself as Tommy Johnson

or watch "Oh brother where art thou?" with George Clooney..great movie,and that IS Robert Johnson they pick up at the "crossroads" in the movie(though they never say his name)..GREAT movie. oh,and they did make a movie in the 1970s about him,Ive never seen it,but I have the LP-soundtrack.

chck that movie about RJ called crossroads with ralph machio the karate kid, came out in '85..it's good even with the karate kid in it. lol

LOL!!!! Nice Soulja boy lol yea I'm 15 and learned about him through the Rolling Stone's top 100 guitarest and then I listened to his music and saw how many people he inspired
