Just to avoid confusion: the Phillipines are actually located in the northern hemisphere, although fairly close to the equator.

Geostationary satellites are so called because they are circumventing the Planet over the equator - when we made the video - we did so to help our clients most of whom were local to us (UK) - you are in the southern Hemisphere of the planet so of course the satellites are North (for you) kind regards (Tony Hiscox)

All geostationary satelites go round the equator on the clarks belt, if you are north of the equator you point your dishes south, south of the equator you point youe dishes north

Does all Geostationary TV satellites point to South? I live in the part of South East Asia. Philippines exactly. Does this DIY aplicable to me? I want to install add a 2nd Ku FTA dish aside from the Agila2 DTH subscription that I have.

no it's CT100 Cable and fittings are what STAB supply but we recommend the CaP connectors for greatest effiecency - the video was produced in the year 2000 - things move on ;)
