You can play it there if the phrase is fast enough, it is a little flat. You can see JJ in different ballads and while playing a song use the third position.

great clip. it's interesting to hear sonny stitt play parker tunes, as it seems to bring out the more inventive (as opposed to excessive) side of his playing. johnson is fantastic here too. does he step on stitt's solo spot a bit here? they exchange a glance that suggests he did, though stitt seems more amused than upset by this. great stuff.
