It floors me how many people don't actually know Ben Harper's music. I was introduced to him by an ex-bf from a few years ago and have loved him ever since...but most of my friends don't even know him. Maybe I need cooler friends...haha.

Ben Harper would never sell out. His music is still his music. He didn't change anything. He is simply reaching a wider audience using a different medium. Thats what musicians are supposed to do, reach out to the people.

you can get heard without performing on the carson daily show, the jimmy kimmel show, or the david letterman show. I love their music but they are still going above and beyond what they need to to sell it.

how are they selling it?...this was in 2003 and they still havn't sold out. How is any artist supposed to be heard if he doesn't do things like these? They're not playing for money they're playing because people want to hear them. Jack and Ben would be the last people to sellout |
