I was mowed to tears watching Dudamel conducting Dvorac from the Vatican, but Brahms - with not one, but two wooden legs! -is clearly too big a mouthful yet. Especially the first movement is indigestible. The pianist fights bravely, but the piano is a disgrace! - never have I witnessed an instrument so out of tune. Full marks to Gerstein for not throwing in the towel between the movements.
