well im not sure yet how the online sytem works 100% but what i do know is that u can quest with freinds (or freind) but there could be a online ranking sytem just to add to the competiveness of the game

If you enter someone else's game you can do quests with them but it won't affect your game.

Fable 2 is gonna be way different than Fable, its not like you beat the game and then there isn't gonna be anything else to do, there will be tons of quests that aren't part of the main storyline, you can also buy anything building in any town, even the little merchant carts
