Nice job with the extraction. If I were stuck like that, I'd rather have people that "overthink" how to get me out. It's better than a bunch of idiots with a rope that think they can just pull and completely wreck my truck or get me stuck worse. Nice job, nice teamwork.

You are absolutely right. I sure wish you would have been there to show us how to do an extraction the "right way" Now maybe you should go watch the other video where it shows us trying to pull him out forward and busting the CV by driving the tire into a crevice. I get a kick out of you internet wheelers who dish out all this great advice just by watching a video. ps: If we could have gotten him out forward it would have damaged the rig alot more than it did.

someone probably could have got down behind him and winched him straight out throw a strap over top of the nissan to keep it from flipping. you guys over thought that one way too much

It's to "catch" the cable if it breaks. It just dampens the energy of the cable to keep it from snapping around and killing things. It's winch safety made simple, cheap, easy, and it works.
