but he is right. worst thing an instrumentalist can do is to forget about the music and just listen to how good he can play, worst case is when he starts to think how much better he plays then anyone else.thats the deadpoint of musical expression.has nothíng to do with jealousy to have that opinion. with other words, treating someone with being jealous of someones skills means in any direction that someone has a complete wrong understanding of music.

Although, in his versions of "Gitane" and "Bossa Dorado," the notes are very articulated, they aren't as articulated here. It's hard to tell that this song is "China Boy," as the melody doesn't sound like that song. This is in contrast to Oscar Peterson's version of "China Boy," where it's easy to make out the notes.

it's better when you're in such a small room as that, although i had to stand in the doorway to even see him. seemed like everyone at the convention wanted to see him play.

Just tonight I went to seem him play, and even though I was afraid that he'd just do all the fancy noodling stuff, he took me by storm. He played very well and tasty. And he also played god damn FAST. Jeez!
