The Film, "Is Your Child's Brain Starving?" Lecture on how diet can contribute to ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) by Dr. Michael R. Lyon, MD. Shot at Mount Royal College, Calgary, Alberta. Dr. Lyon - "As the director of a medical & research centre, I have explored a variety of potential treatments to improve brain function in children and adults, without the use of drugs like Ritalin. Although I believe there is promise in certain herbal medicines and in non-drug treatments such as biofeedback, I have seen the most profound improvements in learning and behaviour through an intelligently applied nutritional program." Notes from cameraman (Gordon McDowell):Dr. Lyon later emailed me a copy of his Power Point presentation , which I've incorporated into the video. They are fertilizing crops with human sewage? In that sewage would also be bleach and poison cleaners, laundry detergents and shampoos etc that people use. OMG I'm NEVER eating conventional grown food again!

i do take ritalin now, but only when i'm in a situation where my brain needs to shut the hell up. it's an alternative and a choice i have, to make the best decision for ME, and go with it. the job here is to educate and offer alternatives to parents and adults, not persuade or criticize. a couple comments here used some choice words which did the latter and i don't think that's fair. both sides of this issue need a new approach.so thanks rosary for doing the only right thing to do, edu-macat-ify

nice film rosary, it's nice to have alternatives, which is exactly how ADD,ADHD,ABCD (or whatever the new hip term is) should be treated. i smell a litle tom cruise in a couple comments and that bugs me. i had crazy ADD as a kid, yet was well fed, healthy and at 32 i have less than 10% body fat. these days it's more of a focus issue.drugs may or may not have helped, but it wasn't really an option back then.

You're right...not depending on prescription drugs, cutting back sugar, eating the right fats and not believing what you're told about diets is essential. See my videos for more.

This is a very comprehensive study of this subject. I appreciate your work. Thank you, I plan to share with anyone who'll listen!

I have seen biofeedback work on children with ADHD and Asperger Syndrome (I assume that was what helped, they were not on any medications). Cutting out caffeine and sugar helps a lot - once the child gets over the withdrawal symptoms, they do seem to improve.
