Scosche Industries, a leader in mobile electronics aftermarket accessories, introduces its award-winning BlueLife, a new line of Bluetooth accessories that allows wireless control of your iPod/MP3 player. Kas Alves, vice president, marketing and sales, Scosche Industries, explains the difference between BlueLife and an FM Transmitter. The Scosche Bluetooth transmitter connects directly to the headphone output connector of the iPod/MP3 unit and transmits to a Bluetooth receiver connected to the auxiliary input of a vehicle's head unit. BlueLife is Bluetooth 1.2 compliant and offers up to 30 feet of wireless range. BlueLife can connect to automotive aftermarket or OEM head-units and includes hands-free cellular functions for Bluetooth enabled cell phones allowing users to listen to music and answer cell phone calls hands-free in their cars.

I use a Scosche FM Transmitter, and it's solid. The new Bluetooth system with the 3.5mm connector is stupid, because I can just buy an audio cable and connect it directly. Also the Bluelife system requires a stereo that has a back-end auxiliary connector, which is not available in a lot of OEM stereos.

The new 2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser seats five and comes in two-tone with a Voodoo Blue, Titanium Metallic, Black Diamond, Sun Fusion, Sandstorm or Brick body color and White top. The interior fabric color is Dark Charcoal, while the dash, center instrument panel trim and the door inserts match the body.
