thanx man ii found a site that sells snorkels and much more offroad stuff for a reasonable price i am also looking at pirate 4x4 also thanx for recommending it

Ok, just one word of warning about Pirate4x4. there are some good guys there, but they hate people who ask the same basic questions all the time without searching first. Post in the Noob Forums and they are more forgiving though.Last tip. you wont be able to search their site from their site, you will have to go to google and do an advanced search. Best of luck what ever you decide to do man :D

My take on it is the simpler you can get the better off you are from a reliability standpoint, The more that can break, the more stuff will break. Why have a computer, a half dozen sensors, six individual ignition coils, and injectors running an engine, when a Carb, And electronic distributor, and a single carb can do nearly the same job with 1/5 the parts involved?Best advice I can give you is to check out someplace like pirate4x4 and just lurk for a while till you see the pros and cons.

i would only get one for offroading so do you think the older CJs are better then the newer 07-08 models

Nice Trucks. I know alot of Toyota Guys usually wont admit to liking jeeps but the new models I kinda like.For stuff like this you would probably not have much luck with something that new. to much electronics on them, impossible to waterproof.But still it is a lot nicer daily driver than the old CJ's
