They don't know anything about the signal itself, but the astronomer monitoring the signal put that comment next to the printout, and since then it's been referred to as the "WOW" signal. The signal itself was never heard again, so it's either a glitch or an unconfirmed signal, which is more or less the same thing since like any science, the experiment must be repeatable, and so far , the WOW signal or something sounding like it,has never been found again.

There is so much to know, this makes it seem like Aliens are a mere sideshow when they are really, from a lot of information available (not saying it's all true), a large part of OUR society.What I'm trying to say is, compared to other things, this seems like very little. NONE THE LESS, it's really cool. And I guess you can say, it's one of the only things we have right now that can't be disproved.

Wow...I wonder if that true....I would love to see a alien come to eath..but I would HATE for the scientists to keep it and experiment on it...I would want it to come then go...

I dont understand these organizations. they work night and day, listening for possible E.T. conformation. So, a sound comes around, they cant explain. and what do they do? they sit around,and wait for another one. what is the point of that? what happens if it happens again? they sit around and wait for another one. I think they have only crated a plan up till, hear a noise. they dont know what to do after that.
