Are today's aircraft landings on flattops totally controlled by computer? Or do they still require some degree of human intervention?BTW, how frequently do today's planes crash when attempting to land on a carrier?

those crashes didnt stratch the paint b/c there isnt any paint on the flight deck. either the decks are made of wood or on modern carriers, steel.

Probably one of the most famous landings in carrier history. Used in many documentaries.
