Oh and yes I do agree with thing about Macs being good for video editing and photo editing. What Apple does they do well. It is just not for the mainstream and enthusiast market.

If you actually researched things because apparently you do not you will find that Crysis will run on quite a few if not most new Windows PC's and some older ones. Crysis will run on my Notebook and I only paid $986 for it. Not every Mac PC can run Crysis the same goes for Windows PC's but it is way more common to find a Windows machine built to run that a Mac. A lot of Mac users use older machines with upgraded hardware to run a newer version of Mac OC X.

I am not a Mac basher. I respect the merits of Mac PC's and Windows PC'c. I just don't have a need for the merits of a Mac. It has been proven that Mac PC's cost almost twice as much as an equally equipped Windows PC. The only Mac PC that can be upgraded with anything besides new RAM is the Mac Pro which is quite expensive for what you get. You can upgrade almost any Windows PC hardware even on Notebooks.

Also do you know how many actual Windows PCs out there are powerful enough to play Crysis? probably less than 1 percent, hardly anybody can run that game, so don't just include MacsBUT, if you were a gamer, Leopard has a feature called "Boot Camp" where you can actually install a separate partition with Vista and run it native just like a normal PC.But Macs are known for being great with video and photo editing, both of which benefit greatly from a fast processor, which means youre a jackass

Okay, thats if you ADD THINGS, but the fact remains that the computer is still 1800 dollars. If you customize and add options with any other PC manufacturer, not just Apple, they charge ridiculous prices. Nice try tho. Optical drive isn't required either is it? I can't remember the last time I really needed to use my disc drive other than installing games or burning discs, but I would do that on my desktop not my laptop. N people aren't buying an Air to play games, you're logic is horrible.

Yeah, I have noticed the same. I run Leopard and Vista on my black Macbook and since I ran Bootcamp to install Vista, I have realised how much of a resource hog it is. Just having Office 2003 and IE open, Vista even wastes much more battery power than Safari and iTunes on Leopard. However since I need to use Office, Vista is a necessary evil on my Macbook, because on my other computer, I only run XP for gaming.

You are really daft, douchebag. There are lots of graphics applications that require lots of power, which are NOT exclusive to Windows systems. Video editing software, Photoshop, and other business publisher applications require lots of power, plus Macs have a reputation of being great machines for graphics design. Each system, Windows and MacOS, has its own merits, but with your fanboi attitude, you evidently ignore the merits of these two systems and focus on bashing one of them.

first of all, i don't even play games (but people do and u need a 2.2 Ghz minimum to play let's say crisis, so go figure it out),and air is 1800just(is it?) for the basic configuration and it gets up to 3000 and more if u customize it and add all the other features and their "iwork", "aperture"....oh yeah don;t gorget about the optical drive.... check their site.
RayneMarina (August 7, 2008 at 2:24 am)
and don't call me douchebag u moron, what gives u the right to call me that? did i say something to you, i particully don't have anything agains macs or pc's, i just don't care, and everything u said doesn't even make sense, so fuck off

Lol shows how much of a dumbass you are. Gaming is the only thing that utilizes a fast processor?? LMAO thats seriously one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. The PC gaming community is so small and insignificant in comparison to the whole PC population, that Intel wouldn't even waste their time if only gamers benefitted from it. Hmm maybe Photoshop does? Oh yea, and the Air is 1800...so sorry but your way off douchebag. |
