I like how you use the Gaston clips even though he is the villain in that movie and these negative traits you point out are actually frowned upon.gg

I think Disney has turned a corner with the ideas that this video points out, Finding Nemo, Wall-e, MonsterInc, Toy Story to name a few. I understand that there are times in history where things are seen as the norm and that we can look back and point out what was wrong, the worst thing we can do is stay mad at the fact that things like that happen and not forgive, we can forgive but we must never forget! Same idea with slavery, in a since we can forgive but we will never forget what happed.

The point is the message it's sending to children, and not that they'll care or protest whichever it is. The point is that even our children's movies are filled with misogynist undertones. Not so much a misogyny against *women*, but against *femininity* itself in all characters. How is it pathetic to question the content and message we are sending our children? In my opinion, the only pathetic thing I'm seeing are comments those who so easily dismiss traditional sexism.

The parallels you draw between appearance and perception have nothing to do with Disney. These perceptions of appearance, dominance, masculinity, etc. Come from human nature, instinct, and hundreds of thousands of years of survival in a harsh world. You are an ignorant douchbag and you don't understand any of the subjects you speak on.

Disney..basically good(especially Shrek). But there R bad messages.4 girls the whole story is about the strife of getting 2 the whole happily ever after ending thing. They dont show the ever after part, and thats the hardest part (just not as exciting).Boys have stories where they never grow up, and get to spank fairies,or if they lie parts of their body will get longer & bigger....come on |
