Same chap, apparently. I like his voice very much, I should find that.Unfortunately this movie lost a lot of the... bizarre 'magic,' I guess, of the book's narration. Hard to translate it onto the screen.

there is a "jeremy irons" who reads the novel for Random House's audio version of Lolita. the speaker at the beginning of this film also sounds similar to the one in the audio book.any connection??

adore this movie..the filming the music the story..i love jeremy irons in it and dominique is perfect for the part :) very sad but still beautiful..one of my favourite movies ..really love the start."she was lo.. plain lo in the morning..standing 4 feet 10 in one sock.. she was lola in slacks.. she was dolly at school.. she was dolores on the dotted line.. but in my arms.. she was lolita..light of my life..fire of my loins..my sin...my soul..lolita.."

reading this book for my isu, and its reallyyy good, i thought it would be weird cuz its about a perv...but i really liked it

one of the saddest films i've ever seen. the music at the beginning is heart wrenching and really sets the tone for the film

i know the movie is deep and serous but the line where he says "the fire of my loins" it just makes me giggle evry time. it may seem immature but thats what i think

The film is wonderful :) I liked it. But it's also kind of sad... poor girl.The music is great :)
