Michael Thompson plays delta gospel and country blues. This was recorded using an Ellis 8 string baritone tricone resonator with a pickup designed by National Resophonic Guitars. James has played on the same bills as Tony Joe White, Michael Franti, the Black Keys, Ben Harper and Bo Diddly. This song is titled Broken Bone Blues and is one that JMT wrote in 2005. If you check out some of his other videos tou will see that he dosnt always sing like this. I think his voice suits the song well anyway. And foremost James's main talent is his guitar playing, simply awesome
