Hi dude,"Recycled" was the first ever album I bought when I was 13 and I played it on my cheap turntable until it was nearly ruined. Like "The Scorpions", who come from Hannover (no, it is not hangover :-)), they had no chance to get famous in their own country and went to the US.Now that I found them on YT again and read your comment I'm glad they did so.Greetz to the US

As far as I'm concerned..The Nektar sound and light show was the best execution of a concert I have ever seen. i am a musician and enjoyed every musical journey they took me thru. My dream was to be in their band, but Larry fast and Taff beat me to it.

As a Teenager I saw the quite often since I am from Darmstadt (Hessia, Germany) and Darmstadt more or less was their hometown. The light show was immense; maybe you can do that with a tiny computer nowadays. Zappa once gave them a shit sound as they opened for him, later in the tour he through them out because they were better then him. Same happened to Golden Earring who opened for the Who. Nektar made a big mistake in going to a big label and to the USA.

my compliments to the band, also. The first time I heard of Nektar was in 1973 (or 74) in San Antonio. A flyer on the windshield of my car told of a concert by a band from Germany : Nektar. It promised to be one of the most stunning performances of the decade, both musically and visually..laser light show..holograms dancing on your head. Less than a year later, I was turning my friends on to this album & "Recycled". I still share their music with friends. Great fuckin band, guys.

Good call on "It's all over now". Great song. There's also a good live version on the Live in New York double cd.
