For years this was the only song i would ever play on guitar. Granted I could have learned more but this song just flows so beautifully, it's easy to succumb to it's progression. Hopeless and beautiful. I need this.

The best song from R.E.M for me too. The band themselves used to play it in every concert as they were touring during that time and later. I like their music from those years best, from start to about 2000, whereas in later years Michael Stipe got slightly arrogant, at least in my view. Surely others disagree ;-). There are so many stunning, haunting songs, sad ones often, but unforgettable.
