If you want to see a video that can give you an insight into how bad things really are in Tibet watchTibet: A Buddhist Nun Tells Her Storywhere 15 teenage nuns were imprisoned, tortured and 14 of the 15 died. The sole survivor tells her story. Just watch the first 75 seconds, as the story is not very pleasant after that.have a nice day

"[Tibet] is entirely closed & witnesses unimaginable things. In March 2008, 20,000 people disappeared with no trace during the upraising in Tibet. Individuals attempting to escape over the border are being shot like in a shooting-range.We saw filmed material & photos taken out by refugees of Tibet. If a shown to a wider audience, all worldwide human rights institutions would unanimously respond to this crime against humanity."--Vytautas LandsbergisLithuanian film-maker, 9/3/2008

Tibetans are subject to arbitrary arrest and detentionTorture still prevails in Chinese prisons and detention centresEnforced disappearances, where a person is taken into custody and the details of their detention are not disclosed, continue to occur. The 11-year-old 11th Panchen Lama has been missing since his status was announced in 1995.Today, it appears the Chinese are using Tibet as a dumping ground for their, and foreign, nuclear waste.tibet(.)net(Central Tibetan Administration)

As we all know and are aware of there is a disaster in Tibet and it is beyond belief,so there are many of you Chinese people here who are paid to cover it up but it has almost no effect because the free world knows the foul stench of lies, and yours are lies.

It's cool and righteous to free Tibet from dictatorial oppression and allow them self-government through democracy and freedom of choiceBut it's wrong and bad to free Iraq from dictatorial oppression and allow them self-government through democracy and freedom of choiceJust nod in agreementThat's right, keep noddingOK now go spread the word....Free Tibet good...Free Iraq bad...just keep saying it over and over and over till it makes sensePavlov would be proud

openic, though i'm not sure how, you have completely missed my point.I do not agree with Sharon Stone...of course it was a completely arbitrary incident. But the reaction to her comments is completely illogical. First, you and everyone else has ignored that it is not just foreigners who say things like this. I will send you the link to a New York Times article of relevance. Also, people say stupid things everyday. Imagine if Americans took to the streets every time someone disparaged them!!
