Nicola Tesla's car used a battery switching trick which makes the batteries self charging. Google "Tesla Switch", and positive results and replications are found on overunity website. New 200 mile battery charges in minutes: 52KWH car/house battery. Google search "Weir 52kwh Battery"

the data cure put the motor at 10hp at 30volts. at 72volts the motor is 25 hp constant and higher hp at peak

i left the body just as it is i did not want to change any safty built into the frame. the car was certified in crash test to change the body would void that. so no cutting allowed. hard to get it insured otherwise.

Progress well DONE!&Congrats\ You must've inspired 1000's of us "the YouTube'rs", Thou le'me share with you a hint or two:1- No more ICE means No more petrol tanks, So reconsider it's space when that tank is removed to use the space for the new "version" of fueling: The Batteries.2- Please be VERY careful not to torch the tank OR store it where kids are nearby. The tank+any flame=real bomb. You may know some of that has been written, So "if so" I really duno that u'know!;)sheers.

3- ICE is mounted inside it's compartment with a lot of rubber in-between the attached car body to protect it from uneven roads and "soft" accidents (and also protect electrical appliances that are fixed on ICE), So, If your e-motor is mounted by bolts DIRECTLY to the body then you may reconsider the situation. For a hint "since ur HVAC TechMan, look to a compressor and find the rubbers and how it's bolted to the body of AC unit, While even AC's are stand still!!

cool ive been thinking about doing this bud didnt know what motor to use i found a site that builds custom transmissions for electric ac motors to basically direct drive the motor to drive axle they have a kit for the geo metro with custom mounts custom spedo cable and custom drive axles i think the kit is roughly around $1500.00 - $2000.00 and it comes with all the mounts necessary for mounting the motor too. how much was it to make your own parts?

i just want this car for an around town runabout. i now have the car with 54volts. that is the max i can put with this motor controler. its a 48volt axe by alltrax. the car is now doing 40-45mph not bad but i am still going to get 120v controler by kelly. at 72 volts i hope to get about 55-60mph. the motor power curve put the 10hp at 30v. at 72v the motor has 25hp continous. at 96v the car should be pretty good. i have learned a lot with this project my next one is going to be a truck and 144v. |
