No, he is Portuguese, under the Spanish flag. I'm absolutely sure about that. His name was "Fernão de Magalhães", and he was born in Sabrosa, Douro Sub-Region, in northern Portugal, in 1480. Some other historians say he might have been born in Trás-os-Montes, still in Portugal.And he wasn't killed by Lapu-Lapu, but by his men. He was ambushed.He was working for the King Carlos V.
