> are these magnets worth the cost. Buy them cheap from Mr. George at supermagnetman net.I prefer playing with the larger 8mm spheres, SP1000, about 3 for a dollar. But other people prefer the 6mm, more spheres for the same price. But 6mm magnets gives only tiny buckyballs and weaker chains, not so fun. Also cheap and fun: stacks of small disks 3/8" wide, 1/8" thick. But not nearly as fun as spheres.Show them to friends, and they'll want to buy YOURS. Sell 'em at flea markets!

dude i have a questioni bought a pack of hundred magnetic spheres/6mmis that the amount a neocube hasis it stil fun to play with?

i believe one molecule of buckminster fullerine requires 60 balls, that is correct.

Hi Wbeaty i asked you a question regarding placing bucky on spinning copper apparatus you built, and you said that it done nothing because all feilds were trapped in the loops, thanks for your reply. This got me thinking wether it was possibe to replace by gluing one or more of the spheres with a non magnetic sphere(like dopeing in semiconductors)to open the loop or loops to see if it will levitate.

hom much spheres do you need for the big bucky ball

> placing the buckyball on your maglev spinning copperYep. Does nothing! Also, buckyball does nothing to CRT. All the fields are trapped inside little loops. |
