not even close. the megaledon was very large but a blue whale is like 10 to 15 meters longer and quite a few tons heavier.

GreatWhite0227: You shouldn't make claims like that without checking first. Attempting to correct something that wasn't a mistake never looks very clever.There was some interesting discussion about the 'biggest animal' claim earlier on though. Megalodon was not a contender.

Although there's been some controversy about the exact size of the Megaladons, I think it's safe to say that there's no way they approached 30 meters long.Also, the biggest "thing that has ever lived" on our planet isn't an animal at all, regardless of how you define "big." ;) |
