They were never pawns of the Chinese ...whatsmore they were nationalists first an formost, rather than communist. Today Vietnam is a thriving functioning country, communist in name only.

What gave the Americans the right to decide the type of government another country should have?

...At the end nothing has changed for the Vietnamese people....they won nothing...except the humanless communist government that gives up its motherland for the communist China...

americans gave in, in vietnam and korea, they should not of, eventually communism would of become poor and their people would of turned against their leaders, hopefully they don't give up in iraq and afghanistan. and to those of you who say your ashamed of the people who fought these wars, your not a true patriot.

You're quite entitled to your opinion, but that's a form of generalizing right there. "Bunch of dumb fucks", how is that any better than racism to say that about a nation as a whole? "Full-blooded Asians, Mexicans, and Blacks" have a rough time because they do look different, it's not stupid, and you'd realize that if you could analyze your own tendencies and reasons for feeling comfortable in a group. It's human nature to feel best with people who look like you.

What option did they have? Its theirland where they going to go? iraq is no different, US business at work again fat cats getting fatter. other than WW2, when has US not gone to war to make money?

Remember the U.S. is not a people's government, and it was the U.S. Government, in service to long-term American business interests that went to war. Thousands and thousands of Americans resisted the war effort, and felt great joy when our bullying military was beaten out of Vietnam... not me, of course, because I wasn't alive then.

We're not all bitching about it. I'm an American and deeply ashamed of the U.S.-Vietnam War.

there is no rule in fighting...fighting dirty or not is not the point...the result is all everybody cares...like yeah, so we won...and you lost and you still bitching about it...shame on you! |
