Sir, there are no guarantees in life. From Martial Arts, Surgeries and Space exploration- accidents happen !!!! I am not saying that there cannot be a flawless demonstration. What I am saying is I don"t see the "level" of skill in a sword wielding "Master" to slash or thrust at an unarmed, weaponless "volunteer" with no risk to themselves ! Again, I humbly apologize if I have offended you due to my lack of "understanding or skill level". Be well !!!

if he is fully skilled, and not just confident in his skill, he or she can gurantee that no accident will happen

I live here in the USA and they have tournaments which have a Martial Arts "Master" come out and demonstrate his "skills" with a sword. You will find that there have been horrible accidents at the expense of the volunteer !!! In my humble opinion use apples, paper or wooden targets- not human beings !!! To threaten someones life with blades or other lethal weapons during a "demonstation" is the highest form of disregard for human life !!!!!! Not skill at "another level" !

most indian martial arts, were still around even when india wasn't at war with anyone, in these times, they were more useful as a performing art during the festivalsthe people who are "Willing volunteers" are basically sitting there, while someone is about to perform a dangerous trick, one common example is cutting a watermelon ontop of the person's abdomen. they do it merely for show purposes

I really liked the sword and shield play that the ladies demonstrated but I need someone to explain one thing to me. I do not like seeing a martial practitioner wielding a live bladed weapon around a person who sits there as a "willing sacrifice". With the hopes that bladesman does not "slip, trip or fall", thus turning a rite of passage into "day of mourning". There is no risk to the bladesman only to the "willing volunteer". Please explain this to me and forgive me for my ignorance. Thank you.
