Your rude use of the word pathetic is noted. Gergiev I hear on radio and watch on tv. Listening "blind" I find not much to impress but this is personal. As a commentator on music and such he is both interestingn and often pinpoints problems with acuity. But his production on the podium still fails to touch me. I shall stick with the other non-baton conductor Stokowski. But, again, that's personal to me, I would not presume to press my claims on to you.
