they come in different engine trims the cosworth duratec 260 is the best one out of the trims that put out 260hp. there is a v8 model coming out claiming over 500 supercharged and 400na. You can pretty much put anything on these cars some put twin hayabusa engines. It is cause the car does not come with engine plus transmission factory installed form. you can request it to come with them.I'd say the duratec 260 is more than enough as it does 3.1 sec 0-60 on the superlight caterham. gluck

Theirs a reason why the FIA banned Caterams from lots of motorsports. It's classed as being too good. The engine by the way is infront of the driver but both driver and engine are in the middle of the car so its a well balanced car it performs so well as you dont get much car for your money its less mass than most small cars but is built to race and handle like a dream.
