I find the trackpoint way easier and less angering than smoojing your finger all over a greasy slab.As for it being ugly, that's coming from someone who obviously just goes with the flow with her generic hair, clothes and face. I love the retro rugged style of the ThinkPad. Can't stand all these silver/chrome curved-for-the-SAKE-of-it soul'less notebooks.

The trackpoint works better than any other pointing device built into laptops if you take the two seconds to learn to use it.

what a silly sea scrag. bi*ch has never owned a thinkpad. she probably bought a russian clone!! lol but then what did she spend all the money she saved on?? obv. not her face. fuck me she is one ugly bitch. the thinkpad has more personality and better looks than her entire being.

1) track point is better then a mouse pad if travelling on the train. this laptop is designed for the business user. 2)this laptop is about doing your work not for showing how good it looks. this women is so stupid.

Me too. This laptop looks beautiful. I'd feel embarrassed using the shiny crap the others make.

What an amazingly dumb reviewer. Hey biatch, there's a reason they use THIS particular keyboard layout: It has proven to be MUCH better than all the new designed nonsense where all the keys are cramped up like their positioning has no value whatsoever. WRONG! It's THE most important thing on a laptop: A decent keyboard, with the best key-layout ever invented.

She missed some good points: One of the reasons that I buy Thinkpads is that they have a trackpoint, and a touchpad is rubbish against that. And another one is the thinklight, which enables me to write stuff at night without having to turn the light on. I personally even like the design, it looks professional and form follows function. Plus it's easily recognisable as a thinkpad, maybe tho most famous notebooks on earth, you know.

you can load other os's on itif you are a linux fan for instance thinkpad is 100% compatible with linux

it has carbon fiber/glass fiber roll cage, that is not flimsy. most other laptops that are thicker and heavier are flimsier.

That's why I love the TrackPoint. I have a ThinkPad T30 with both TrackPoint and a TouchPad, and I disabled the TouchPad. Trackpoint is so much better. |
