That was one of the best quotes I have heard about classical Indian dance. I really liked when he talked about time as well, it reminds me once again that I have to continue having patience and commitment.

Yeah, it's crazy how many people don't recognize dance as a real career and think it's only a hobby. Of course people take classes for enjoyment and that's fine, but there are those, like Panditji's company members who have taken the path of being a Kathaka and immerse themselves in the art and practice for hours up on hours.

Oh wow, must striking thing for me is when he says Kathak cannot be a hobby, it made me realize how much commitment and hard work it will take to master the dance.
