A big thank you for these tutorials. In the past 10 minutes I have learned how to tighten up my brakes and a loose handlebar stem. Saved me plenty of money and time no doubt. My new 'first port of call' for bike problems.

Thanks for posting this video. Yours was the only one that related to Road bikes. The video gave great general tips on how to fix my troubles. Thanks for your help.

I totally DON'T suggest to adjust your hydraulic discs yourself, the only need for that is if you're going on an extended tour through remote areas using hydraulics but no one does that. Adjusting hydraulics is hard and even not all mechanics do that well, it's an art. Just bring it to your local mech who knows about discs and he will adjust that. Dont do yourself, it's not one of thoe DIY things to do.

Yeah no kidding I have disc brakes and I havent a clue as to how to adjust them since I have never had a bike with disc brakes.

The video was indeed informative but it would be really helpful if you could do a video on the maintenance of disk brakes because all the new bikes that are coming into the market have disk brakes on them and i was unable to find a descent video on the maintenance of disk brakes!! Can you help??

like your tutorials, good info. could you possibly do one about the brake lever on the handle bar it self? I unscrewed it and a spring and washer jumped out. I havent been able to put it back together since.

you should do one on replacing bar tape...i just wasted £12.99 on some nice cork stuff, only to muff it up because i didnt know how to do it properly :-( |
