miyavi has to be written with the katakana of U with two dashes to change it into a V sound. Miyabi means elegance, miyavi doesn't mean anything. Miyabi was his original name, but some people don't know he changed his name so I had to include them both.

Miyavi and Miyabi are the same person. Just like someone said below, he changed his name after he left Dué le Quartz. Dué le Quartz is the band Miyavi was in before...Dué le Quartz = Miyabi, Solo artist = Miyavi...does that make sense?

sorry if seem like a morron, but I know who Miyavi is... what's the differance between Miyavi and Miyabi... I've seen lots of Vs. of the two names, but usually it's all pics of Miyavi from what I can tell. Tell me if I'm wrong, sorry, I'm new to the J-Rock scene-Lochness
