Hi tiger, b'cos its a fear psychosis. All others particularly almost the whole remaining europe and the cousins of the British elsewhere viz., Americans, Aussies, Canadians and the NZealanders, do not want to see the rise of the Germans. By hook or crook they join to finish them. (Remember the Marriage of convenience between the west and Russians during the WWI)

No disagreement...the Germans have always been quality soldiers. What a pity that such brilliant fighting men allowed themselves to be sacrificed for a monster like Hitler! Bottom line...if the average Deutschen Soldaten did't buy into the Nazi plan, the war and 50,000,000 deaths could have been avoided. What a shame Von Stauffenberg didn't have the second charge in the briefcase...Hitler would have been blown to shreds and (hopefully) many thousands of lives on both sides spared!

They have a nasty habit of taking on the world...quite literally...never one to limit their ambitions i guess. Also, my opinion/statement was based on a militarily historical perspective, not a political/ideological one. Read any objective statements from American/British/Russian vets and you will see they had the deepest respect for the German Landser as soldiers.

trudog2, do u know how tactical the germans were? Well listen to this, the brittish special forces were gonna plan an assasination on hitler but in the end brittan decided it was not nessescary cause hitler was ruining the german army faster then the brittish could.

Were it not for the inept leadership at the top (Hitler) and his biggest mistake (persecuting the Jew), I might well be writing this in German, not English! When Hitler went after the Jews, he sealed the fate of Germany. No one messes with the Jews and survives...history has recorded this over and over.
