I saw him conduct this is Athens last June, amazing.His Mahler interpretations are profound, he's probably the best conductor alive right now, and probably since Karl Richer.

von Karajan is fine if you like your french music with a chrome-plated heavy german accent. nein danke. if von Karajan lovers really want their ears to twitch then listen to the Leibowitz here on utube. formidable.

i have and i did upload a video of the Copland Clarinet Concert, and the clarinetist is look like the clarinetist of this orchestra, but im not sure if is really the same guy

I agree, this is the best version, with best performances from French players and fascinating conductor, though a bit on the fast side, based on Ravels tempo. Bravo. |
