The first thing I noticed here is that you are quoting from the book rather like a preacher does from a bible. Let's all live in Krishnamurti? Idol worship is no way to get things sorted out. You're talking about following Krishnamurti's ways, and Krishnamurti specifically talks about not following anyone including him. I'm not attacking you, but it seems a bit pointless what you're doing.

I like listening to him directly or reading his books.

i discovered him by pure hazard,in a flymarket and was doubting wether buy it or not, fearing it could be all that new age and gurus staff. But i bought it,read it it reached me straight away. I only find a pity so many people "interprete" what he said. For me, he is the most important philosopher or whatever he may be called.

Also, do you happen to have any idea as to why Krishnamurthy is more popular in the west than other Indian Philosopher's and why he appealed to you more (if he did)than other Indian philosophers? If you are interested in Krishnamurthy's works, I am sure you will find this book interesting: The Concept of Man: A Study in Comparative Philosophy edited by S. Radhakrishnan and P.T Raju, both of whom were/are eminent Indian philosophers.

I studied in one of Krishnamurthy's school in India. I want to know his influence on you as a westerner. When did you begin to take an interest in his teachings? Who exposed/introduced you to his works?

Hum I saw him gently sitting on a chair in Ojai at the center of some Oak trees looking up at nature. I thought perhaps he was the antidote for Rajneesh or Muktananda (both of whom I regard as great). The teacher may be within you but I like wise council. An antidote to Fox news and clear channel and the corporately owned clones. Meditation is an answer for me. Why don't I do it? |
