There really haven't been any great Presidents in terms of performance in office. There were some great men who became President--Washington, Adams, Jefferson--but none who really accomplished anything of greatness in the office.

No great presidents were shot, although JFK may have had the unrealized potential to be one. Lincoln was a warmonger and a tyrant.
