Why would Rau argue when he gave up 3 straight hits? 2 out of the 3 hitters were lefties. Common baseball sense, if the pitcher has the platoon adavantage and blows it, then he should be out of the game. La Sorda was right. Rau should've shut his mouth up, and do what Davey Lopes said. The Dodgers had a fantastic rotation back in those days. It's sad to see antagaonism with such a great team. Unfortunately, that's part of the game at times.

This clip was extremely amusing. I enjoyed Tommy telling his pitcher he gave up hits to left handed hitters Rivers, Jackson and "that other fucking guy." It puts that pitching mound meeting in the movie "Bull Durham" to shame. |
