folks, let me tell you something. i don't think that the ones that take steroids is right, but really they can not go after mark mcgwire. he retired from baseball before the whole steroid thing came up. what are they going to do to him, fire him from baseball? if anything, this man deserves a pat on the back for bringing baseball back. steroids or no steroids, he did do that. people don't pay 100 bucks to see a 1-0 shut out, they want to see the long ball. leave mcgwire alone!

This guy was inducted into the hall of fame what about Roger Maris he set the recorded in 1961, they didn't even have powerade back then, none the less. in 98'McGwire homered in the first four games of the season, only done by willie mays before, he tied reggie jacksons record for the most home runs in the 1st half of the season.He set a lot of new records; but he did it with Andro. the real hall a famers did not!

Yeah, but from his point of view he probably didn't want to seem like a phony, or have to deal with immense shame that might come about from admitting using them. It's not easy knowing that you were once loved, and then hated in in less than 10 years since he hit 70 Home Runs.
