she's improvising with notes and the sound 'a' (akar) in the beginning, in the last portion she also uses words of the composition. But I guess nocojest meant he doesn't know about the kind of music... this is Hindustani classical vocal music, genre:khyal, style:Patiala-Kasur gharana.

Oh I love it! Thank you, Pieter, for posting this masterpiece here! The Indian people radiate a very special positive shining energy and these artists especially DO it! I´m trying to study ayurveda and know some Indian doctors, they are so amazing, peaceful, humble but THE BEST! And so it is with these artists...beautiful! Natali
