Yeah, she could sing. A person could not become a big band singer like she did in the WWII years without a phenomenal voice. You are right though that most of us learned of her after her vocal talents had faded late in life when she had her '70's talk show.

I remember Dinah in the 1970s after her voice had faded a bit. I never knew she could sing like this. What a terrific performance.

Please, does anyone know who arranged this totally neat and charming medley. It has the verve and the creativeness of Nelson Riddle but I'm afraid to stick my neck. Another good orchestrator of the day was Ralph Burns. I wonder .... ?
