My conclusion: Naomi came from Canada to Los Angeles to become a star. She was very talented may be due to family traditon becuse her aunt was a movie star. Went to some castings and met a girl there and they had an affair, Naomi was in love, the other girl wasnt. This girl was not as talented as Naomi but she had contacts with mafia and producers and used her beauty to climb. Naomi, jelous, hired a dumb assasin to kill this girl, when the job is done she regrets it so bad and kill her self.

watch the scene (about 45 min. in) where the pimp/hitman walks out of the store with a man and woman, the same guy with the long red pole from Wild at Heart walks by(the scene where sailor is workin on his car)

this movie is great, at first i didnt quite understand it but when i read the story in the net i much appreciate it.=) ei watch this movie also Happy go Lucky by sally hawkins its funny.

This is definitely in my TOP THREE MOVIES EVER (Not certain which position)! And I LOVED it even BEFORE I understood it. Never have I seen a movie so atmospheric, so haunting, so unsettling, so disturbing, yet I can't explain why. It just is, just an indefinable something, a perfect example of 'Movie magic'. It's the epitome of a cerebral movie, and you'll want to see it again and again, and you'll still be thinking about it for weeks afterward. If you LOVE MOVIES, THIS is one you HAVE to see!

I think your first sentence is right, but where do you get the drugs, anorexia and divorce from? She failed as an actress, put a hit on the woman she loved, and was rendered lonely, depressed, and being sought after by cops.

I totally agree with you daveadler. It makes perfect sense, and it's amazing. My favourite film of all time.
