This man is an eloquent testimony to the human spirit. His work has really inspired me and made me realise that no matter how bad things get, our lives are never empty. Dr. Frankl's work has done a lot for me and I will never forget his book, "Man's Search For Meaning" for as long as I live.

Yes, though I wonder if Dr Frankl's rationalisation focused more on 'meaning' than the actual behaviour i.e. D= S - M. Thus, observing behaviour or not - Frankl argues that meaning and possibly its' acceptance (or change) are what is of most significance; not the behaviour.

Truly one of the brightest stars in all of human history. Words can't do this man and his work justice. Dr. Frankl, thank you.

human behaviour will never be able to be explained using on rationalism and reason because humans are not entriely rational.if Behaviourism is so "true" how come it hasnt taken off in the last 40years since it has been invented?

I agree that you can change the way people think. However, Once again, behavior many times is the forerunner of thought as well as the after product. Would it not be accurate to say that many times that if behaviors are understood and identified better and can be changed then thought and subsequent resulting problems may also change ? BF Skinner said that cognitive psychology is premature neuroscience and that is exactly correct. We may get there someday but are not currently. to speculative.

u can teach someone to change their thoughts and beliefs also.as long as the person is willing to try to.Cognitive Theory ftw. |
