that is possible that they had backup files, but she was a hacker. though it's not proven, there's nothing that said she didn't cause some sort of reason for what's her face to have to go back to get those files. the Hypercube was unstable, maybe the files had information that could've provided stability? maybe it had data that was somehow compiled in her time in the hypercube that could make said hypercube stable? who knows?

most of the deaths in Cube 2 WERE cased by its instability (the pillars moving across rooms, accelerated time rooms moving through normal time rooms) but some rooms weren't. the spinny death thing was the only real trap, and the accelerated aging to death was just a side-effect of what the room was programmed to do. I haven't used this mod (dont have HL2) and it looks really cool, but by the looks of it, it uses Cube 2's structure (probably cause it's simple and monochrome) and other cubes traps |
