this is wrong b/c there ARE symptoms at birth, i shood kno IM CLASSICAL GALACTOSEMIC! i almost died at 9 days old, u dont call that a symptom?

many inaccuracies ... ovarian failure is over 90% in women with classic galactosemia ... mental retardation can occur even if a classic galactosemic infant never has dairy (in-utero exposure and endogenous production) ... neonatal symptoms include failure to thrive, and hypotonia ... no mention of the critical effect on outcome of heterogeneity / homogeneity of mutation present ... unsubstantiated link between diet and complications (i.e. complications can be present despite dietary compliance)

your video is very informative. they believed my son had it for the first three months of his life. a very scary time. fortunately my husband was the only one with the gene, so my son is just a carrier of galactosemia. good to know so he can get screened if he ever decides to father a child. what made you make this video?
