I implied that the lyrics were translated, not changed. I agree that English and Italiano sound completely different. This song could be sung in 5 other languages and still sound like the melody of 'Hero'. I feel he changed the melody of the song. It did not sound as though he was singing Mariah Carey's song...at all. Let's agree to disagree on the above. What we surely can agree on is that Pavorotti is awesome. They're both awesome but just in 2 different leagues. Take care

He did not change the lyrics! They probably rehearsed the song several times, do not blame it on him, italian and english sound entirely different, and they might not make a 100% harmony but this song sounds awesome, take in fact that mariah carey sings pop music, yes R&B mostly but pop music in the end, do not take me wrong, I do like mariahs music, but luciano is something else, he is awesome! pavarotti is a great singer no doubt, and i'm sure the italian lyrics are just as beautiful BUT he changed the whole melody of the song! they sound like they're singing two different songs...at the same time. not the best rendition i've heard.
