those pilots did a good job, its something they're trained for. Btw astralentity I wouldn't ve worried about the pitch rate, the engine can still maintain a lot of power after a strike. In addition, the RB211-535 produces more thrust than is necessary anyway, so the engines are de-rated, after something like this, the other engine can be brought to full power. They know what they're doing, they got ASI and EADI in the flight deck, they know whan they are about to stall or not. No worries.

QFE is the altitude of the airstrip above sea level according to the relative air pressure in Millibars.

you never return to the runway once you have lifted off, what he did was text book and would not cause stall spin accidents. Flying with one engine is adequate enough to rejoin the circuit and make a perfect landing. |
