With what little they said about the film, they still made it sound appealing. I think I might watch it. I've been meaning to see something by cassavetes for a long time now.

An interesting and unique way to 'promote' a film - thanks for posting. Quite a few parallels with the film here - Gazzara removing one shoe, Cassavetes pinning Falk with his leg, the smoking and drinking, dancing in the dark etc. This reinforces for me the spontaneity of the film.

I think Peter Falk is right on when he mentions the difference between genuine sentiment and sentimentality.

I think John only told Peter not to say what he was saying because he felt Peter was belittling himself by saying his work/acting was meaningless in comparison to his experience with John. In other words it came from caring about Peter and not simply a desire to "tell him what to do." |
