As with all these things, it's a case of personal opinion. Personally I feel the pacing of Ozawa is slightly wrong, the faster bits too slow and the slower bits too rushed; I prefer the faster recordings. I've posted the Reiner recording as a video response so that people can experience both...

A very nice and precise performance, although I felt that Ozawa takes things a little too slowly and the drama of the piece never really develops.For those who fancy hearing faster, more 'raucous', recordings, I recommenend Reiner with the CSO or Kertesz with the LSO.
