Our women have been suppressed a lot at the hands of our cruel afghan men, we have to stop this and the best time to do this, is NOW.i am the first fan of any afghan girls singer, actor, etc..Let's open our eyes and broaden our horizon, think!!! Where do you live? Who are you? Who are you to tell someone to live their life otherwise?Teaching your kids, children, life's' lesson shouldn't mean indoctrinating them but to show them the truth, the way!

I think it is amazing how far the Afghan people have came since 2001, there is still a lot of violence and suffering, but if you look back, women where not even aloud out of their homes with out being unaccompanied, and as far as music and television they were banned period.

I dont think I will ever get used to the vocal stylings of the WestAsian or MiddleEast performers. The number of musical notes just are different. ITs what western people would call off key but a whole area of the globe see this as real music. I dont know if I will ever like it but...I can appreciate it and that its bringing joy to so many, Good Luck to Lima and to those competing.
